We’re excited to welcome these two incredible alumnae to a webinar where they’ll talk about their own experiences and answer questions from YOU.  \n\n\n\nPlease click here to register for this virtual event so we know to expect you. \n\n\n\nMeet your presenters… \n\n\n\nMelody Burnett ’01 is the President of Visit High Point\, charged in leading the city in tourism and destination management strategies. She has 25 years of destination marketing experience in the Triad and a degree in Recreation\, Parks\, and Tourism with a minor in business from UNC Greensboro. In the last five years under her leadership\, her team secured High Point as the first Certified Autism Destination on the East Coast (and second in the nation!)\, started the DRIVE High Point Foundation as a 501c3 investment arm for High Point’s 10-year strategic plan for tourism\, developed a comprehensive strategic events effort to target spectator events and festivals\, and most recently moved the local visitor center to the Splashworks building at 515 W English Rd where they work in a make shift container village! She serves on a variety of 10+ area non-profit boards in High Point and the Triad centering around economic development\, hospitality\, design\, and education. Melody and her husband\, Brian\, will celebrate 20 years of marriage in 2025. They have a 13-year-old daughter\, Autumn (named after the couple’s favorite time of year)! \n\n\n\nKelly Graves ’06\, Ph.D. is the President\, CEO\, and Co-Founder of the Kellin Foundation\, a nationally recognized nonprofit focused on trauma and resilience. A clinical psychologist and former associate professor\, she founded the Kellin Foundation in 2013\, which has since grown significantly and partnered with the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). An international presenter and trainer\, Dr. Graves specializes in trauma-informed care\, ACEs\, and resilience\, providing technical assistance globally. She has worked with the U.S. Department of Justice and was invited to the White House to advise on community safety. Dr. Graves has published extensively and developed impactful initiatives like the Greensboro Child Response Initiative\, now replicated nationwide. She holds certifications in trauma-focused therapy and is a sought-after consultant. Dr. Graves has received numerous awards\, including the APA Division 56 Trauma Award. Outside of work\, she enjoys time with her family and community volunteering.
