Have you turned the tassel in the last ten years (Class of 2015-Class of 2026)? Consider donating your Commencement regalia! Every Spartan deserves to participate in graduation festivities, but the cost of regalia can be a significant barrier. If you’re not using your gown anymore, we’ll happily pass it along to a graduate in need. To learn more about Pass the Tassel, click here (and be sure to visit us on Academic Row at Homecoming)!
Based on archives records, Homecoming at UNCG is thought to have begun as a tradition called “Falderal,” which dates back to the 1960s. Falderal was much like Homecoming today; performers, sports games, and food were plentiful. The early 1980s marked the shift towards Homecoming celebrations like those we enjoy now.

Can’t join us on campus this year? We’ll miss you, but wherever you are, let us send Homecoming to you! Click here to order yours.

Yes! Registration for Homecoming will be available soon.

There are many perks to pre-registering online for Homecoming, specifically your souvenir alumni pass with special discount offers. We will still happily accept walk-up registration at our Alumni Check-In Tents during the Spartan Street Fest on Saturday.

Please note: You will need your alumni pass to receive your t-shirt (first-come, first-served) and to participate in the prize wheel.

New this year: Homecoming in a Box. If you can’t join us on campus, let us send Homecoming to you. Click here for more.

Due to overwhelmingly positive feedback about Spartan Street Fest (and the ongoing construction on Kaplan Commons), we’re bringing the College Avenue-based celebration back this year! You can read more about construction efforts on campus here.

The College Ave Spartan Street Fest will happen rain or shine! Keep an eye on the weather and dress appropriately — and keep your fingers crossed for good weather!

You can preview our 2026 schedule above, and the full schedule will be available soon! Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for more information as it becomes available.

  • Spartan Chariots, our campus shuttles, will also be running throughout the weekend.
    • You can track the shuttle on the following site https://passiogo.com/. You can also download the app on Google Play or Apple Store.

When you arrive to the Spartan Street Fest on Saturday, you’ll see check-in tents in front of the Forney Building. We’re asking all alumni check in before enjoying the day’s festivities. Please note: You will need your alumni pass to receive your t-shirt (first-come, first served) and to participate in the prize wheel.

Will I get a t-shirt? The best way to ensure you receive a t-shirt(s) is to pre-purchase one for $25 via the registration form. If you prefer not to pre-purchase your shirt, a limited number of free shirts will be available at Spartan Street Fest. You must check in and receive your alumni pass or student bracelet in order to collect a shirt.

  • We can’t wait to announce which food trucks and tent vendors will be joining us this year! Please keep an eye on our social media channels for vendor introductions between now and October.

Homecoming is a cashless event! Please plan to bring a card or digital pay-capable device.

Saturday’s Spartan Street Fest is casual – we encourage wearing your Blue and Gold! The rest of the weekend’s attire depends on the events you’ll be attending. Be sure to be prepared for any weather that might come our way.

  • Hungry? There are plenty of options. Fountain View at Moran Commons will be open and ready to serve you ($9.75 per person — all you can eat!). There will also be a variety of food trucks to choose from if the cafeteria isn’t your style (full list of food trucks coming soon!).
  • Thirsty? Multiple water stations will be available around campus, and we encourage you to check out our vendors for additional beverage options. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Yes. Stay tuned for the full schedule of events!
